Atom Rep, U11, 2014-2015 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

The Atom Rep Oilers fell to the Lambton Shore Predators 6-2 on Saturday to finish as Finalists in the A Pool of the Shamrock League Playoffs.  The Oilers battled hard but lost to a better team. 

The Oilers skated into to Forest for game 3 of the League Final and dropped a 6-3 decision to trail the final series 2 games to 1.  The Oilers gave up the first goal again but quickly got it back on an unassisted goal from Andrew Jaques.  The Score was 1-1 after one period of play.

The Petrolia Oilers traveled to Lambton Shores Tuesday night to take on the Predators in Game 2 of the League final with the Oilers up 1 game to none.  The Predators did not want to go down 2-0 and came out playing strong on the bigger ice surface and skated away with a 5-1 victory, evening up the series at one game apiece.

The Atom Rep Oilers drew first blood in the best of five series that opened yesterday at the Greenwood Rec Centre in Petrolia.  The hometown Oilers came out determined to have a good start and got that as they scored three times in the opening period on route to a 6-2 win.

The Oilers needed a win or a tie to advance to the Shamrock League Final and they got what they needed...barely.  It wasn't easy and the Oilers took a bunch of penalties, and majority of them were well deserved and they managed to kill off the penalties to gain a 3-3 tie.  ​
