2 Empty Netters Seal Victory for Preds and Push Oilers to Brink of Elimination
The Oilers skated into to Forest for game 3 of the League Final and dropped a 6-3 decision to trail the final series 2 games to 1.  The Oilers gave up the first goal again but quickly got it back on an unassisted goal from Andrew Jaques.  The Score was 1-1 after one period of play.

In the second period the Predators scored twice only five minutes apart to go up 3-1.  The Oilers kept pressing and had chances but a hot goalie made several saves in the Predators net.

In the third, the Preds scored again and took a commanding 4-1 lead but the Oilers would not quit and scored the next two goals.  William Hull scored an unassisted goal to cut the lead to 4-2 and the Andrew Jaques tapped in a Jace McGrail rebound for his second of the game to make it 4-3 with a 1:22min remaining.

A time-out and a pulled goalie resulted in brief pressure but Lambton Shores was strong on the puck and ice the puck right into the empt net for a 5-3 lead .  With 40 sec to go the Oilers got the puck in the zone and pulled the goalie again but still no luck and the Predators scored again to seal the victory 6-3.

Kento Gudz went the distance in net and made some key saves.

Good effort Oilers.  Never say Quit.  Let's even the score tomorrow on home ice.

Next up is so or die Saturday at 2:10pm as the Oilers try to stay alive and force a 5th game on Sunday.
