Predators Even the Series With 5-1 Win
The Petrolia Oilers traveled to Lambton Shores Tuesday night to take on the Predators in Game 2 of the League final with the Oilers up 1 game to none.  The Predators did not want to go down 2-0 and came out playing strong on the bigger ice surface and skated away with a 5-1 victory, evening up the series at one game apiece.

The first period was an even battle with both teams having chances. From the latter part of the first period through the rest the game it was Petrolia's inability to get pucks in deep to sustain pressure which ultimately resulted in numerous turnovers and fast transitions the other way that caused a lot of trouble on the big ice surface.

The Predators scored on many tap in rebounds and scrambles that were left in the crease and slot area after starting goalie, Noah Bright made the initial save.

The Predators scored 5 goals and looked to be heading to a shutout victory when Jace McGrail picked up a puck in Kolby Wilson's skates and darted down the right side and fired a backhander past a dejected Predators goalie who lost his shutout bid with 2.9 seconds left in the game.  William Hull was also credited with an assist on the play.

Kento Gudz came on in relief of Bright and made some key saves to give the Oilers a chance.

The two teams hook up for game three on Friday at the Shores Recreation Centre in Forest.
