Oilers End Season with 6-2 Loss
The Atom Rep Oilers fell to the Lambton Shore Predators 6-2 on Saturday to finish as Finalists in the A Pool of the Shamrock League Playoffs.  The Oilers battled hard but lost to a better team.

The Oilers opened the scoring on an unassisted goal from Andrew Jaques to lead 1-0 after one period.  In the second period Lambton Shores would score twice to take a 2-1 lead.  The Oilers battled hard but turnovers and numerous efforts to get pucks out burned up a lot of energy and stymied any chance at sustained pressure in the Predators end.

The Predators went up 4-1 with 8 minutes left and Petrolia scored a goal by Brady Melton in the slot assisted by William Hull and Reid King.  With the score 4-2 and the time ticking down the Oilers were about to mount their comeback when penalties reared their ugly head again and resulted in two more goals to make it 6-2 and ended the Oilers season with a defeat.

Noah Bright went the distance in net and was tagged with the loss.

The Oilers finished the season with a record of 25 Wins - 26 Losses -and 3 ties.  They were finalists in the Tillsonburg Tornadoes Tournament and were the Shamrock League A Finalists.  The Oilers participated in the Alvinston Regional Silverstick and participated in the Southpoint Capitals Cup Tournament and the North American Silverstick Tournament in Sarnia.
