Oilers Come back From Two Down to Tie Lambton Shores
The Atom Rep Oilers snatched a point from the jaws of defeat in Forest this afternoon after falling behind 4-2 in the third before rallying in final 5 minutes to score twice and earn a 4-4 tie.

The Oilers opened the scoring on an Andrew Jaques dash down the ice and wristed one over a helpless goalie to put the Oilers up 1-0.

The Predators answered back to end the period tied at 1-1.  The Preds and Oilers traded goals in the second period to remain tied 2-2 heading to the third.  Scoring in the second period was Jace McGrail unassisted as he picked the Predators defenseman's pocket and tucked the puck behind a surprised Predators goalie.

In the third period, Lambton Shores scored twice in the first 10 minutes to take a commanding 4-2 lead heading to the final 5 minutes. The Oilers rallied on a high wrist shot over the goalie's glove hand by McGrail after a nice setup by Kolby Wilson to narrow the gap to 4-3.

Down to the final 45 seconds, the Oilers called their timeout and drew up the play.  The Oilers skated to the Predators end for the face-off and did what was drawn up and Jace McGrail scored the hat-trick goal assisted by Noah Harse and Stanley MacDonald  to tie the game 4-4 with about 20 seconds remaining.

Kento Gudz started in net and Noah Bright finished the game. Both goalies made some good saves and shared the tie.

The Oilers now play in Blenheim Saturday before rounding out the round robin portion on March 14th at home vs Lambton Shores.
