Oilers Strike First vs Mt. Brydges
The Atom Oilers came out flying to start the game and jumped out a to a quick 1-0 lead then sat back and found themselves scratching and clawing all game to battle back from a 3-2 deficit to score twice in the final 4 minutes to claim the win 4-3.

Jace McGrail scored the first goal for the Oilers from a feed from the corner by 'Digger' Kolby Wilson.  The first period ended with the Oilers on top 1-0.

In the second period, the Cougars scored to tie it up before Andrew Jaques scored with assists to "Digger" Wilson and Owen "Hack and Whack" Stokes to re-take the lead 2-1.

In the third Petrolia took two penalties within 20 seconds of each other to give Mt. Brydges a 5 on 3.  The Cougars scored early on the power play and late on the powerplay to swing the momentum in their favour and took a lead of 3-2.  Things weren't looking good but the Oilers dug deep and refused to lose as they scored two goals in the final 4 minutes to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.  Andrew Jaques scored his second and third goals of the game less than two minutes apart.  Noah Harse, back from illness earned an assist on the game winner.

Noah Bright went the distance and earned the "w" between the pipes.

Great Job Oilers.  They now have a stretch of 10 days without games which will allow some time to recharge the batteries after a busy couple weeks of hockey.
