Oilers Down Sarnia in Exhibition Play
The 2015-16 Atom Rep Oilers kicked off their season on the road with an exhibition game against the Sarnia Major Atom MD team. Everyone was eager to get into game action and to see how quickly the boys could come together and play as a team.
The Oilers came out charging at puck drop and scored on the first shift of the game and never looked back. All lines followed up with the same energy and scoring production.
The boys never let up and kept racking up goals all game along and the team only allowed one goal. The tenders split the game action both coming up big when called upon.
It was a very strong effort by the entire team. There is still lots to learn but the boys showed they have the potential to become even stronger.
Hopefully this is the start to a very good year!
The final score was 12- 1 for the Oilers.
The boys return to action Saturday against the Southpoint Capitals in our home barn at 3:20pm.
It should be a very good tilt if the boys come out with the same energy!
