Oilers take it on the chin from Dorchester!
The Oilers travelled to Dorchester on Tuesday evening to kick off the regular season.
The kids were pumped before the game and seemed like they were ready to play and bounce back from the Southpoint loss.
Unfortunately the Dorchester squad was just too strong in all aspects of the game.
The Dorchester defense didn’t allow Petrolia many shots or scoring opportunities.
Dorchester was also very strong in the offensive zone out muscling the Oilers on numerous occasions creating scoring chances which they rarely missed on.
The Dragons shut the Oilers out 7 to 0. This is the second straight game that the Oilers gave up 7 goals.
The goaltending duties where split between Kento and Noah who both gave a great effort.
Noah came up big stopping Dorchester late in the third on a penalty shot.
