Oilers Have A Winning Weekend!!!
Oilers vs. Sabers

On Sunday afternoon the Oilers travelled to Exeter to take on the South Huron Atom Rep Sabers looking to keep our winning streak alive.

The boys were wanting to improve on the previous day’s performance and started the game with lots of energy scoring on our first shift of the game.  #16 Will Hull buried his first goal of the day 28 seconds into the contest with the lone assist going to Rhett Joy.  You could sense early in the game that the Oilers came ready to play a high energy game. Will Hull then put the Oilers up 2-0 midway through the second with an unassisted goal. The Sabers were able to get themselves back into the game with a goal in the dying seconds of the second period. Luckily the Oilers were able to keep the intensity going for the remainder of the game and this would be the only goal the Sabers would get.

The Oilers would add two insurance goals in the third to give the Oilers some breathing room.

Scoring in the third was Reid King tipping in a hard shot from the point by Jack Helps and #16 got his third goal of the game unassisted to complete the hat trick.

Noah Bright played well between the pipes to keep the win streak going!

Hopefully the boys don’t overdo it on turkey today and bring the energy for their tilt this evening against the Ilderton Jets.
