Petrolia 5 - Sarnia 5
In the final round robin game of the Midget AE tournament the Oil faced the Sting from Sarnia.

The came out with speed but could not capitalize early.  This game didn't make any difference in the overall standings as Petrolia and LaSalle had already secured a spot in the finals with wins in each of their first 2 games.

Sarnia Sting are a very large team and well coached to play position and never give up.

The Sting opened the scoring in the first period.  Petrolia managed to find the penalty box a number of times during the game and this ended up costing the Oil a win.

Jaret Scarrow scored twice, Ryan Bell scored one and missed an open net, Curtis Jackson scored on an amazing shot, and Ryan MacAlpine scored on a nifty breakaway deke.

The Oilers had a 5-3 lead with 2:30 left in the 3rd period.  Petrolia shut it down mentally and quickly took penalties and gave up the lead to end in a tie.

Petrolia ended up gaining the single point and finishing 1st overall in the round robin to be the home team in the finals vs LaSalle @ 3pm.

GO OIL GO!!!!!!
