Petrolia 2 -Lambton Shores 4
In the second game in as many nights the Oilers hosted the Lambton Shores Predators.
The Preds were coming off a loss the night before to St. Marys.
Petrolia was coming off a loss to top ranked South Kent Lightning.
The Preds were the better team from start to finish this night, however Petrolia likely had as many scoring chances but managed to put many pucks into the glove and belly of the Preds netminder. A few passes could have helped in getting goals vs the individual efforts shown this night.
Lambton wanted the two points and it showed as they outworked the Oilers.
It is a long season and we are just getting started.
Petrolia returns to the ice in the Mooretown tournament. The Oilers will need to pick up their game to make it to the finals on Sunday.
