Lancers Defeat Oilers to Stay Perfect
The Lambeth Lancers skated into Petrolia on Saturday and put their first place 18-0 record on the line against the Oilers.  For Two periods the game remained tied at 1-1 heading to the third when a penalty explosion erupted and the game quickly went south. 10 Minor Penalties were assessed b/w both teams in the third period alone and much of the period was played shorthanded or on powerplay.

The Lancers opened the scoring in the first two minutes of the first period before Will Hull found the five-hole in the dying minutes of the first to tie it up.  Andrew Jaques was credited with the assist.

Kento Gudz stood tall and played well and was under pressure all game with players poking and jabbing at him for loose pucks.  In the third, Lambeth scored three unanswered goals as the Oilers dealth with penalty trouble and the loss of their offensive leader Jaques to a hand injury.

Lambeth won 4-1.

The Oilers know they can compete with the good teams if they stay out of the box.
We now prepare for one final league game before heading to Xmas Break and tough Silverstick schedule.
