Oilers Shoot Down the Bullets
The Atom Oilers Made a Midweek stop in Bothwell for a duel with the Southwest Bullets coming out on top 10-2.

The Oilers scored three times in the first, twice more in the second before pulling away with 5 more goals in the third for a final 10-2 score.

In the opening frame, Brady Melton got the Oilers on the scoreboard as he got his own rebound and buried the biscuit behind the Bullets goalie.  Assists werte earned by Jace McGrail and Owen Stokes.  Will Hull then sniped a goal off one of the numerous deflections off the Bullets defensemen tonight.  Melton and Noah Harse earned assists.  Big Z  Zach Wilson then scored on a shot from the corner that seemed to hit someone or something in front and end up behind the goalie for a 3-0 score.

Southwest scored early in the second period to make it 3-1 and for a moment thought we were in a for a tough battle the rest of the way.  The Oilers battled throughout and tried using passing and moving the puck which seemed to spring open some ice and generated some good scoring chances throughout the period.  Andrew Jaques, assisted by Noel Sanderson scored the 4th goal and McGrail scored on a rebound to make it 5-1 after two periods.

In the third, Sanderson, Stanley MacDonald(2), Jaques, and Noah Harse  all scored and put the game out of reach.  Southwest would score one more but that was all they could get by Oilers netminder Kento Gudz.  Final Score was 10-2.

Next up is a rematch on Saturday vs Mooretown and then a date on Sunday with the St Thomas Stars at Budweiser Gardens in London at 10am.
