In Game 1 vs Sarnia, The Oilers squad dominated from start to finish only allowing 3 shots on net the entire the game.  Noah Bright and Kento Gudz shared goaltending duties and earned the shutout.  Lots of passing and utilizing the point men on D was nice to see as the kids overpowered the younger Sting squad.  Scoring for the Oilers were; Andrew Jaques and Stanley MacDonald with three goals apiece, Noel Sanderson (2), Jace McGrail (2), Zach Wilson (2), William Hull (1), Noah Harse (1), Kolby Wilson(1).  Assists went to; Harse, Melton, Crummy (2), McGrail (3), Hull, Owen Stokes, and MacDonald.

On Sunday, The Oilers faced a much tougher opponent in Mooretown. In typical Petrolia-Mooretown rivalry , it was a chippy affair that saw lots of physical play, lots of goals and a penalty shot.  The Oilers came out flying and took the play to Mooretown in the early going but couldn't generate many shots and Mooretown capitalized on a few Oiler miscues to take a quick 2-0 lead late in the first frame.  The Oilesr regrouped and battled back in the second on goals by Andrew Jaques and Stanley MacDonald.  Earning assists were Liam Crummy and Jace McGrail. Late in the Second Period the Oilers struck again on a nifty didpsy doodle by Jaques with assists to Reid King and MacDonald.  Mooretown nrefused to quit and scored late in the second to tie it up at 3-3.  Noah Bright made the save of the game in the second period on a penalty shot after a Mooretown player was hauled down on a breakaway.

In the third Mooretown capitalized on a turnover and went up 4-3.  The Oilers battled hard and had chances, but couldn't solve the Flags netminder.  Noah Bright and Kento Gudz shared the netminding duties.  Final Score Mooretown 4 Petrolia 3.
