Essex Nips Oilers 4 to 2 in Motown
The Essex Ravens provided the stiffest test of the tournament for the Oilers as they lead the game from start to finish. Essex lead 1 to 0 after one period and 2 to 0 after two periods of play before the Oilers got on the board.

The Oilers got on the board with a goal from Noel Sanderson crashing the net on the powerplay and tapped in a Jace McGrail centreing pass from the left side corner.  The Oilers kept battling but a mid afternoon ciesta was in order as the Oilers were quickly running out of gas and the energy level were running on empty.  As time was winding down, William Hull took a feed from McGrail and he dashed down the ice and sniped a wrister over the goalie's outstretched hand making it 3 to 2 for Essex.

The final 5 minutes saw the Oilers press but too much time and energy was spent chasing the puck and not controlling it.A pulled goalie and the extra attacker did not help as Essex shot the puck from the centre ice neutral zone to ice the victory 4 to 2.

A win tomorrow vs The Sabres will put Petrolia in the finals at 2pm.  Lets go Oilers.
