Wow boys, best $4.00 door fee the fans have seen so far. The boys had many goals the coaches wanted to stress to them this weekend and played hard towards them. The last rule on the board was " Empty the Tank" which the boys did against Strathroy. Ethan Kerby banged one in from a scrum in front of the net to get the first point of the game in the 2nd. The 3rd period woke up Strathroy to score 2 in the 3rd to seal Petrolia fate in regular play. With Ian Stauth pulled in the last 1:30 we banged away but couldn't find the back of the net. The boys lose a heartbreaker in the SilverStick FINALS 2-1. Hold your heads high boys each and every player gave their best.

The Bob Tansley Memorial A/E tournament on Nov 6-8 played to our liking beating our competition. The boys went undefeated beating Ennismore , Lincoln and Tillsonburg in match play. Went to semi and played to a tuffy against Ilderton to beat them 2-1. The finals had all the boys pumped to face Strathroy for the first time which were an undefeated team before we seen them. The final score was 3-2 and Stath had their first loss of the season. The boys came with their best to beat the top team in our Shamrock Division , way to go boys... 2 tournys 2 Golds
Look out Silver Stick P-Town wants to go International.

The boys played in the Stanley Taggert Tournament this weekend. With a undefeated record of 3 wins and 1 tie they sent the Tillsonburg Tornadoes back home in 2nd place. The fans got what they paid for with some gritty fore checking , big hits and outstanding goaltending from the Oilers. Your coaches are proud boys so should you, way to go ! We now go to Tillsonburg to win their tourney in a couple weeks. The boys only get stronger with time.
