Pelham Internationals Silver Stick
The boys travelled down to the Niagara Region to play some International Silver Stick where we faced teams from all over North America.
First we faced the Brampton 45's where we met our match losing 5-0 to a much bigger Major team that draws a few more players regionally. We could say our play was a bit off and we may not have been fully vested in this tourney yet. Next we faced off against a team from Santa Clara California where they could not keep up to the hits and fast pace we set for ourselves winning 8-2. We then found the Bloomington Blades from Indiana a bit of a handful losing 4-2. With a record of 1 & 2 we seeded ourselves 3rd in our pool and dropped to Tier II. We set face to avenge our not satisfying streak to play Arvada Gold from Colorado to send them packing back to the ski hills winning 3-1. Going into the semis we drew a Major team from Stoufville where we could not match their crisp passing and scoring abilities to lose and pack up getting downed 3-0. The boys played with heart , determination and poise all weekend and that's all a coach can ask for. We are proud of their accomplishments and so should they , not every team gets to play Internationals and they earned their way. Trophy or not what a great experience and you have did PMHA proud.
