Petrolia 3 Ingersoll 2
A few hours before Daylight Saving.

A nice drive to Ingersoll before we change our clocks ahead. I remembered that I saw a robin a few weeks ago. Then I saw Ken Gould for the first time since "Ground hogs Day".
Oh yeah, the boys started off solid with a few hits and some ideal scoring chances, keeping the puck in Ingersoll's end. Edward Loerts with one of the most solid hits I've seen him throw in a long time. Then Evan and Paul rocked a few kids on their own. Then it was time for Matt to settle in and stop them down low, stop them up top with either glove hand or blocker. It really was Matt's game!
Everybody had some scoring chances as Evan couldn't capitalise on open net. Wyatt with some very good shots from the point. But a much improved Ingersoll team cleared the puck out of their end.
Finally after some chances around the Ingersoll net, Nick scored a nice one with assists going to Jaret and Paul who skated well and had some shots on net. Then Paul himself broke free, shot on net which the goalie made  the initial save but the puck had enough stuff on it like a pool ball and carried over the goalie and into their net.
Then Evan sent in Chris on his own and Chris went over the glove for nice goal which the ref signalled goal but disallowed because he gave Evan a penalty for a play that had nothing to do with the goal. That play and a few questionable calls almost got someone else to write this piece as yours truly almost got tossed.
Ian on a goalmouth scramble scored the winner from Nick and Jaret. Now it was time to kill more penalties and play defence on Ingersoll. Not before some shots from the point by Wyatt, Ed and Paul and Dawson. Ingersoll pulled their goalie but our boys have really learned to help their goalie out stifling Ingersoll.
Good work and win young fellas. And hopefully Ken Gould has chased Mr Winter away.
