Feb 16th: Petrolia vs Dorchester 7-1 (Win)
Dorchester's coaching strategy of playing it rough and taunting our players from the bench by calling them names, and then sending players out to get our kids failed them miserably tonight, as the Oilers dominated over Dorchester.

After the first goal from Dorchester, Petrolia decided to show them what they are made of.   The first period was fast and rough.  Evan started the goals with a tip from Chris to tie it up.  He was also able to tip a second goal in, this time from a shot from Josh, and Petrolia was in the lead.  Ian took notes and tipped our third goal in from Gouldy.    Jacob finished the first period with a beauty rebound.  Final score for the first period as 4-1.  Second period began as rough and fast as the first period, but the refs realized they needed to gain control before the game got out of hand.  Dorchester's pride...and bottoms were hurt by Scarey's signature move, resulting in some punches and penalties for both Scary and a Dorchester player.  Then Dylan scored with a pass from Ryan B.  Another scuffle ensued and Gouldy and Josh got kicked out along with 7 and 22 from Dorchester.  Hopefully #22 will have plenty of time to purchase that new helmet he is going to need.  I am not sure whether it broke from the fight or his temper tantrum after being ejected.  The refs quickly took control of the game to ensure that things didn't get too hairy.  As a result, the game slowed down a great deal during the second period as I think both sides did not want to loose any more players.   Jarret did manage to sneak another goal in Dorchester's net, obviously rubbing salt into a wound as yet another Dorchester player got called for a shot to the head AFTER THE GOAL WAS SCORED.   This ended a very, very long period two.   Third period ended with yet another tip, this time from Jacob.  The final score was 7-1.  We are back in Dorechester tomorrow night.  Remember boys, when a 40 year old man who is in a coaching position calls you a name. his intent is to get you riled up and draw a penalty, because HE IS SCARED TO LOSE.  Prove that you are not only tough and skilled, but smart enough not to fall for his little tricks.
Go to Dorchester tomorrow night and prove that you can out play and out hit without being dirty.
