Stars Outshine Oilers 5 to 1 in League Playoff
St. Thomas once again took it to the Oilers to the tune of 5 to 1. Overall a better effort was put forth compared to Friday night but a solid Stars goalie and a couple goal posts kept the game out of reach for most of the contest.
Down 3 to 0 in the second period, Jace McGrail took a pass from Zach Wilson and wired a wrister over the goalie's outstretched glove. The very next shift St Thomas, answered back to make it 4 to 1. They would add another to make it 5 to 1 and seal the victory.
Goal posts were hit by Logan Crummy and Noel Sanderson on jam plays in tight. Miller Mailloux had a strong game with strong puck play and forechecking.
Kento Gudz made some stellar saves including a couple off his head to keep the Oilers in it.
Brady Busby-McEachen earned the helmet for continuing to work hard following a lengthy illness.
The Oilers have one last game, Thursday in Strathroy and is a must win to advance to the finals for Shamrock A Pool Playoffs.
Come On Oilers, Finish the year strong.
