Oilers Post 2-0 Win vs East Lambton
The Oilers got back in the Win column with a 2-0 victory of the East Lambton Eagles in Alvinston Monday night.

Shane Knight scored on the opening shift of the game to give the Oilers a quick 1-0 lead.  A score that would remain until late in the third.  Knight's goal was unassisted.

Both teams traded chances and were evenly matched throughout the contest before Phoenix Timmington put in a rebound goal as he crashed the net and scooped it just high enough over the pads of the Eagles goalie.  Earning assists on Timmington's goal was Reed Douglas and Jace McGrail.

Many scoring opportunities were created by Oiler players looking to the wide side of the ice and finding wide open teammates.....while the passes were made to spring players free, the exection after the pass wasn't always successful but it is a start and a big step in the right direction.

The Rookie Line of Knight, Miller Mailloux and Logan Crummy had a strong game and were dangerous all night.

This game was a rare penalty free game for the Oilers and qualifies them for the Penalty Free Sweepstakes.

Kento Gudz was awarded the team helmet as he bailed the Oilers out time and time again.

Next up, Thursday 630am practice and a matinee Saturday in Mt. Brydges.
