Oilers Shut Out by Ilderton 2 to 0.
The Novice Oilers battled hard all game but couldn't generate many scoring chances against a tough Ilderton Jets team. The Oilers played their second straight game without their regular goalie, as Kento Gudz has been hit with the flu. Pheonix Timmington, a regular centreman, once again was pressed into action for the second straight night and again he did not disappoint.
Ilderton scored two goals on rebounds after Timmington made the original save. The Oilers again had trouble getting the puck out of their own end and had difficulty estimating 45sec shifts.
The Oilers now have a rematch with St. Marys tomorrow before heading to the Sting Game and helping to clean up the teddy bears after the first Sting goal.
