Oilers Outlast Wallaceburg 2 to 1
The Oilers went to Wallaceburg Friday a bit short handed with illness and injury and battled hard en route to 2 to 1 victory.  Max Egan was injured and Kento Gudz our goalie was home ill.

Rookie goaltender Pheonix Timmington traded in his player gear for goalie gear on short notice and proceeded to lead his team to victory. He didn't have a lot of shots but made a couple key saves late to preserve the win.  Timmington was awarded the game puck and the team helmet for his efforts and his first win as a goalie.

The victory was a total team effort and forwards and defense all played hard, passed well and carried the play much of the night.
Will Hull scored an unassisted shorthanded goal, with Jace McGrail in the box.

With the Oilers up 1 to 0, the Lakers battled back to tie it up 1to1.  Midway through the third period Zach Wilson took off down the left side and fired a hard shot that found its way through the goalie's pads to put the Oilers up 2to1.  Assists went to Reid King and McGrail.

Logan Crummy and Noel Sanderson played well at centre taking extra shifts for Timmington who was  in net.  Miller Mailloux was dangerous around the net but was snake bitten on this night. Hull, McGrail, and Brady Busby -McEachen performed well as a three man defense corps.

Great game boys. Bring the same effort tomorrow vs Ilderton.
