Oilers Weather The Storm
The Novice Oilers got back to their winning ways Saturday as they handed Mooretown a 3to 1 defeat.
The Oilers played one of their most complete games of the season and all players were working hard and working together. Leading the scoring for the Oilers was Noel Sanderson with a goal and an assist. Zach Wilson found the back of the net on a great rebound crashing the net. Reed Douglas was rewarded for crashing the net as well as the puck bounced off his skate and into the wide open cage. The goal don't have to be pretty, they all count and when you crash the net, good things happen. Assists went to William Hull, Pheonix Timmington, and Nathan Perry.
Kento Gudz was solid in net making key saves and calming down some scrambly play.
Miller Mailloux and Max Egan had strong games and the defensive corps played better positionally and shut down many attempts.
keep working hard Oilers.
