Cougars Maul Oilers 4-0.
The Mt. Brydges Cougars came into the Greenwood Rec Centre on Sunday afternoon and powered their way to a 4-0 victory over the struggling Oilers.

Armed with new linemates and line combinations, the Oilers started out with some zip and some energy and were generating some chances.  But as the game wore on, the Cougars kept coming and the stronger, faster, more aggressive squad from Mt. Brydges started taking over the game from a tired Oilers team.

Continuous no-look passes, the inability to get the puck out of our own end and the out of position play lead to a lot of running around in our own end and a lot of time chasing the puck  and crashing into our own players instead of controlling the puck.

Much like the Sarnia Sting who lost all three games last weekend, the Oilers will put this behind them and get ready for league rival Moortown Storm next weekend.

Players are asked to continue practicing their 50 shots per day, as it was noted only 5 players admitted they are still working on improving their shots.  The only way to success is hardwork and we want to encourage all players to improve themselves by doing extra practice.

Let's start a new streak this week.....one that starts with a W!
