STARS OUTSHINE OILERS 4-2
The St. Thomas Stars skated into Petrolia and carried the play to the Novice Oilers handing them a second straight defeat this weekend 4-2.

The Stars came out skating and passing and quickly found themselves pressuring the Oilers and getting odd man rushes and many shots on Goalie, Kento Gudz who held Petrolia in it for most of the game.

With new line combinations in search of offence, the Oilers created some chances and pressure but were thwarted time and time again by solid goaltending in the St. Thomas net. The offensive scoring once again was provided by our D-corps with Brady Busby-McEachen and Jace McGrail scoring the goals. Both were unassisted.

Overall effort and the desire to skate and work hard every shift is still a point of frustration that coaches are working through and will be the area of focus heading into Silverstick Preparations.  Each player needs to bring it, every shift, every game and be the best they can be, to help the team succeed.

Brady Busby-McEachen earned the hard hat from Coach McGrail for solid two way play and getting the Oilers on the board early.

The Oilers have one more chance on Sunday to salvage 2 points for the weekend against the big and talented Mt. Brydges Cougars.

Let's Go Oilers!
