Rockets Tame Oilers 4-2
The Strathroy Rockets handed the Oilers a 4-2 defeat Friday to get the Novice Rep's busy weekend off to a rocky start.
After coming out flat, the Oilers found themselves down 1-0 before tying it up on a goal by Jace McGrail.
Penalties, sloppy play, and a few brain cramps at key moments left the Oilers scrounging for offense that was hard to come by.
A late goal by William Hull made it 3-2 which is as close as the Oilers would get. A loud clang off the goalpost in the 3rd was an indication of how the luck of the Oilers went tonight.
Some good passes and strong puck support down low helped create a few chances, the Oilers just could not capitalize.
The boys get a good night's rest to refresh and refuel for a rematch against the Stars from St. Thomas.
Maxim Egan was awarded the hardest working player tonight by Trainer Ryan.
Logan Crummy, Miller Mailloux, and Brady Busby- McEachen were solid all night. Keep working hard boys.
