Oilers and Stars Skate to 4-4 Draw
The Novice Oilers flew down the 402 for a date with the Stars from St. THOMAS. After a slow start, the Oilers fought hard and came away with 4 to 4 tie before being curfewed with over three minutes remaining.

Great determination was shown by all players as the pace of the game picked up and the intensity rose with each period.  Scoring for the Oilers was Reed Douglas on a juicy rebound play from a Zach Wilson howitzer from the left side leaving Douglas with a wide open yawning cage. Will Hull scored on a nice rush from the neutral zone and tucked in his own rebound.  Jace McGrail scored a pair of goals, one on a short handed breakaway and one at regular strength.

Kento Gudz was solid in goal making some timely saves to keep the game close.  Brady Busby-McEachen was solid on defense and made several key stops.  Zach Wilson, Pheonix Timmington and Nathan Perry had strong games up front.

The Oilers will now practice Saturday before travelling to Lambton Shores on Sunday for a 3pm matinee.
