Oilers Post Win vs West Lorne Comets
The Comets from West Lorne came rocketing into Petrolia for an intergalactic encounter with the Oilers.
The game was a close game through the first period but the Oilers eventually found their legs and started to execute some of the game plan. The Oilers peppered the West Lorne goalie with shots from all angles and eventually got a lucky goal that went off a Comet player and past their goalie to get them started.
Scoring for the Oilers was a balanced attack once again with 7 different goal scorers led by Jace McGrail (3), Will Hull (2), Brady Busby-McEachen (2), Nathan Perry, Noel Sanderson, Miller Mailloux, and Reid King. Kento Gudz made a stellar save in the third period to preserve his shutout. Assists went to Logan Crummy (2), Reed Douglas (2), Perry, and Sanderson.
Logan Crummy and Miller Mailloux played aggressive games and were in the action all game long. Zach Wilson played forward in the third period and great scoring chances.
Max Egan played well on the point and Phoenix Timmington was buzzing around taking time and space away from West Lorne all game.
The Oilers now prepare for a tough Lambeth Lancers team next week.
