Novice Rep Stumble vs Dorchester
The Petrolia Oilers bolted down the 402/401 to Dorchester Tuesday night only to get jolted by the faster, stronger Dorchester Dragons Novice Team.

The Novice Oilers, woke the dragon in Dorchester, a dragon that breathed fire from the opening whistle.  Trailing 2-1 after one period, the Oilers couldn't match the skating, stickhandling, and overall team speed that Dorchester threw at them, eventually falling 6-1 for the first regular season defeat.

Good goaltending by Kento Gudz, kept the game closer than it could have been.  Petrolia's lone goal was scored by Jace McGrail, as he scooped up his own rebound and tucked it home.

The young Oilers are quickly finding out, the pace is faster, and the players are more aggressive in Rep hockey. It is early and a few more practices and continued hard work and we will be flying in no time.  Keep taking those shots to build up strength.

Keep working hard Oilers ...one step at a time ...we will get there.
