NOVICE REP OILERS KICK OFF SEASON
The Novice Rep Oilers kicked off their Shamrock schedule against the perennial powerhouse squad from Strathroy and skated away with a solid 6 to 2 victory.
Solid goaltending by K. Gudz and overall team defense allowed the young Oilers to get their legs under them and get some timely goals from 5 different players. Scoring for Petrolia were Novice rookies, M. Mailloux and S. Knight. J. McGrail chipped in a pair with singles going to R. Douglas and W. Hull. Z. Wilson, M.Egan, and B. Busby McEachen were solid on D and set up many breakouts to assist on goals. Great start to the season boys. Getting used to a fast paced game is fun to see and playing top teams early will help us adapt much quicker. Keep up the great efforts team.
Crosby's 3 Things he concentrates on .......
1) Where is the puck?
2) How can I get it back?
3) Who is open I can pass to?
