PeeWee AE, U13, 2012-2013 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

We just want to congratulate our boys on their amazing season: 2012 Strathroy AE Olympics - Champions 2012 Regional Silver Stick - Champions 2013 International Silver Stick - Quarter-finalists Shamrock League - 2nd Place AE team 2013 Chris Knott Memorial PeeWee Rep - Champions OMHA - Quarter-finalists Shamrock PeeWee League - "A" Finalists FIVE players selected to play in the Shamrock All-Star Game This is quite an accomplishment for such a young group of boys...all in one year!  Keep this year close to your heart...you became brothers and overcame numerous challenges.  ...

The PeeWee AE team went 4-1 this weekend in Saugeen Shores to win the PeeWee Rep Division in the Chris Knott Memorial Tournament.   The team was focused and had committed to playing a disciplined, defensively responsible style all weekend.  The defense first mentality allowed our team to play tight in our end, move the puck and then shift into an aggressive fore-check and attack the net style of hockey.   The team was not told that they were entered into the Rep division until after their first game of the tournament…once they knew how they can play and grasped a firm belief in what they can ...

The Petrolia PeeWee AE team went 5-0 this weekend in their Regional Silver Stick Tournament finishing first overall in the PeeWee division and earning the 2nd most points overall from all divisions within the more than 30 teams entered in the tournament (Atom, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget teams).  This young group continued to answer the challenge brought forth by each team they faced.  This was a very difficult tournament, with very strong teams in both pools.   

All the clothing that was ordered at the 50th anniversary will be ready for pick up on Saturday November 24th. Please ask your families that placed orders to contact me to arrange a pick up time. Christa Mitchell

The Petrolia Oilers PeeWee AE team came out of the Strathroy AE Olympics as Tournament Champions.  The will, determination and character shown by this young group of boys would have made Scotty Bowman proud as they faced four other strong teams who are also in their Shamrock League.  Facing these familar teams proved to be a challenge for the PeeWee AE team, who responded well. The Petrolia Oilers opened the tournament with a closely matched Ilderton team and were able to edge out a victory over the Jets with a 1-0 win.  DJ Langlois was Player of the Game for earning a hard fought shut ...
