Scotia Bank PeeWee AE - Most Nostalgic Float
The Scotia Bank - PeeWee AE team won "The Most Nostalgic" Award for their float entered in PMHA's 50th Anniversary Parade.  Our theme was  "Pond Hockey"...a great past time that has been enjoyed for years by many...where dreams are played out and all of us become participants in the Stanley Cup Finals. (and since this is the 50th Anniversary, we are VERY proud to win this award...isn't that really the major theme of the entire weekend?!)

A sincere thank you and a tonne of appreciation goes out to Kelly and Jenn Nickles for organizing the parade...nice to know these parents took on such a huge undertaking that was enjoyed by so many kids from a variety of teams.  Activities like this show how unselfish people can make a difference and what great things can occur when people put kids first!  We are so proud to have Kelly and Jenn as part of our PeeWee AE hockey family this year.

This was such an amazing way to kick off the 50th Anniversary celebration weekend.  It was great to see so many kids from numerous teams enjoying themselves.  We would also like to thank all the people who attended the parade to support the players and the PMHA organization.

This was a great team bonding experience for players, parents, and coaches from our team.  Thanks to Co and Cindy Langlois for providing us with a place for the kids and parents to decorate our team float and to Scotia Bank for sponsoring our team this year.

After the parade, our team had the honour of singing O' Canada for the Petrolia Squires' game.  All I can say is, this was an "experience" that I hope all the kids will remember for a long time to come.  (and I have a new appreciation for music teachers)  The players from the Squires' were very supportive and encouraging to our players.

We look forward to the rest of the festivities and games in P'town this weekend.  GO OILERS!!

Thanks again to all the parents of PMHA who made this parade become a reality...and we are very proud to be a part of such a great team!
