Atom AE Oilers win Tillsonburg Bob Tansley Tournament
The Atom AE boys come through with a strong finish to win the Tillsonburg Atom AE tournament over Mooretown in the finals.
A tough 2-1 loss to Mooretown in Fridays game put our guys at a disadvantage but with a strong win over Ennismore (5-1) and another win over Tillsonburg (2-1) on Saturday helped us fight our way back. Sundays mornings game at 8:30am was looking to be difficult against Delhi but an amazing start and finish (4-0) gave the Atom AE oilers some much needed momentum to play an always tough Mooretown team in the finals.
The fans from both teams lit up the rink as there respective teams hit the ice for wamup. From the puck drop our boys pushed and came through with a huge win(7-1) over Mooretown. Fantastic play from everyone and a shutout credited to Ryan Oliver highlight the weekend.
Special credit goes out to Danton Webster who couldn't make he trip, Wyatt Currie who's still on the mend from surgery and Jackson Policicchio who was unable to play due to paperwork issues. These kids were there in heart and a strong part of the Atom AE Oilers win!!!
