Petrolia ruins Dorchesters chances
I'm proud of the Midget Minors.
They showed determination. Second efforts some deft moves and they didn't let a referee stand in their way. Paul opened the scoring Monday night with a nice wrist shot from inside the blueline. Then Ryan went in on the left wing and scored over the goalies glovehand. The announcer said Ryan Mac A Pine scored (we chuckled to ourselves)! The Ref tried to get Dorchester into the game calling really suspect penalties. One Hayden then when Hayden got blindsided well no call. No biggie you have to play passed a bad referee and the boys did Evan Freer with a nice move around a defender netted what proved to be the winner. But in the last period the ref again called a penalty against Edward who played forward and sat him for almost the remainder of the game. Then with three fifty six left to play Wyatt was called with a four minute headshot. Again the announcer said Wyatt Krall was called with the penalty.
But Dorchester couldn't do it they pulled their goalie and with six attackers against our four skaters and goalie we were able to hold them at bay. Paul skated into the clear and sailed one the length of the ice to put the game out of reach. But poor Paul wasn't awarded the goal Dylan Krall was. I wonder if they thought Dylan and Wyatt were brothers. Wyatt and Ryan Bell who played forward did an excellent job playing up and Jaret and Hayden and Ian played back. 5 - 2 win for Petrolia. Yes!
