In what can be summarized as the worst team effort of the year the Oilers came out and took an early lead on a nice goal by Paul Ferguson. The Oilers quickly slowed down and watched the Blades play some hockey. Lincoln earlier in the day beat Ingersol 2-1.
This was a missed opportunity.
