My name is Tyler Scott and I will be coaching the U13 C (AE)
Team this year. I’m reaching out to
everyone to let you know what’s happening throughout the tryout process for U13
C team this year.
The tryouts will take place on these dates below. Make sure to refer to the U13 Tryouts and Pre-skates calendar for any changes.
Sept 17th 4:10-5:20pm – Skills Evaluation
Sept 18th 7:00-7:50pm - Scrimmage
Sept 20th in Mooretown 5:40pm Exhibition Game
After each tryout the players who make it onto the next phase in the tryouts will be posted on the PMHA website under the U13 C and U13 Tryouts and Pre-skates new feeds. The final roster will be announced on the site after the exhibition game in Mooretown.
Here’s some of the skills that I will be looking for during the tryout process:
- Puck skills
- Willingness to battle for pucks
- Ability to follow instructions
- Speed and agility
- Passing skills
- Hockey IQ and Positional play
Tournaments that are booked for the U13 C Team this year:
· Kris Clement Tournament – South Muskoka on Oct. 20-22
· Silverstick in South Huron on Nov. 17-19
· Stanley Taggart Memorial Tournament – Mooretown on Jan. 19-21
