Silverstick Day 2
The Atom AE's played a very exciting and tense 3rd game against the Mitchell Meteors on their 2nd day of Silverstick, leaving their fans holding their breath until the last seconds.

Justin Oliver started the game off for the Oilers in the 1st period assisted by Brady Melton.  Hunter Carron added to the score in the 1st off of Baylee Morrison and Brody Anderson to put the Oilers ahead 2-0.

But the Oilers struggled in the 2nd period and allowed Mitchell to get 2 goals of their own to tie the game up.

Both teams battled back and forth in the 3rd period leaving the score at a tie until the Oilers took advantage of a Mitchell penalty and with 9 seconds left in the game, defenseman Jordan Morley was able to get the puck to Logan Harding who took a shot at the Mitchell goalie, and Hunter Carron was in the right place to tuck in the rebound for a 3-2 win for the Oilers.

Ryan Oliver played a great game in net for Petrolia, and MVP of the game went to Rawson Donald.

The Oilers move on to the quarter finals on Sunday morning.  Go Oilers!!!
