Silverstick Day 1
The Atom AE's started their first day of Silverstick off on the right foot by winning their first 2 games with scores of 5-2.
First up, the Oilers faced off against the Goderich Sailors. Justin Oliver started the game off for the Oilers in the first period assisted by Logan Harding and added another one in the third period. Other goals for the Oilers were scored by Harding (assisted by Hunter Carron), Baylee Morrison (Austyn Gauld), and Hunter Carron (Peyton Wright and Colin Whiting). In net for the Oilers was Ryan Oliver and MVP of the game went to Hunter Carron.
Later the Oilers took on Plattsville and came away with a 5-2 win. Ethan Marks started off the scoring for the Oilers 13 seconds into the game with passes from Baylee Morrison and Brody Anderson. Austyn Gauld added an unassisted goal a minute later. The second period saw goals from Brady Melton, assisted by Anderson and Morrison as well as Justin Oliver assisted by Logan Harding and Carter Sayers. And a goal by Harding in the third period assisted by Oliver ended the game in a win for the Oilers. Wyatt Currie was in net for the Oilers and MVP of the game went to Justin Oliver.
Day #2 sees the Oilers take on the Mitchell Meteors. Go Oilers!!!
