Peewee REP Win First Tourney
Thanks Susan Shadforth, Financial Planner for sponsoring our team in their first tourney of the season.
The Peewee Rep team participated in the Blue Water Stars AA Early Bird Tournament on the weekend.
The coaches selected this tournament as a teaching tool and to knock the summer cobwebs out!! There were some struggles throughout the tournament but boys stuck together and carried out the coaching game plan. They fell behind in a couple of the games, stuck together, worked hard and were rewarded with a 4-0 record and a trip to the championship game.
The championship game came down to Petrolia versus Macomb Mavericks, which appeared to be our toughest rival in the round robin play.
Development through the weekend from the boys took the better of Macomb and our boys won 5-0 in the final, going undefeated in the tournament!
Regular season starts up next weekend, hope this is a great boost for the boys and we have success throughout the year.
