PEEWEE REPS PLAY WITH A FULL BENCH SINCE DECEMBER 1st!
Without a game for the past two weeks, the Peewee Reps welcomed the West London A/AA team to our arena for an exhibition game.
The coaches were very happy to have a full bench once again, having played shorthanded through Silverstick and OMHA playdowns! With a refreshed looking dressing room and a full squad, we looked at this game as an opportunity to practice solid team play against a good competetor. We dominated the first period with a 2-0 lead going into the second. Then our "two weeks off" caught up with us, as our legs quit moving and the Hawks tied the game with 5 minutes left. This woke the boys once again and we took the lead to end the second period. The third period brought chances for both teams with the Hawks executing an offensive triangle that gave them many opportunities. Both teams finished with two goals each, with Petrolia holding the lead and killing off the final 1:32 on the penalty kill with the Hawks bearing down on the Petrolia net.
Overall a great exhibition game to get the boys ready for the next round.
