So the final game of the round robin saw the Cougars from Mt Brydges face off against the home town Oilers.  The Oilers dominated the Cougars in the first game of round robin but came away with only a tie.  The winner of this game would advance to the A final to meet St Thomas.

Very early on it was evident the Cougas had found their top of league form as they scored 3 goals in the first period.  The Oilers looked very outmatched in the opening frame.

The second period the Oilers started to gain momentum and gain many scoring chances.  The Oil went into the flood break down 3-0.

The third period saw a solid effort from Petrolia as they scored to make it a 2 goal game and had a puck stopped on the goal line shortly after.

There was many penalties in this game as tempers were high on both teams.  There was also a major injury after a clean hit where a Mt Brydges player was taken to the hospital after badly breaking a wrist.  Our thoughts are with the player and his family for a speedy recovery.

The team went out following this final game and had dinner together at Crabby Joes and had a very good time.
