Parent Meeting
Needham Jayhawks 2011 Parents Meeting - Oct. 22nd 2011

Welcome to the Needham Jayhawks Novice House League Hockey Team.

1) Tournaments – We have selected 3 Tournaments this year. We will have the final cost on these soon. Here is the basic information. More to come.

Glencoe – November 18th – 20th
South Huron (Exeter) – January 6th – 8th
Riverside (Windsor – Over night?) – February 17th -19th

If you can’t make it or if you have another issue about these please let me know as soon as possible.

2) Fundraising – I believe in letting you decide what you want to do, however we’ve created some guidelines.

A) Pop Corn – Last year our Tyke Team Sold Pop Corn from Kernels and it was easy to sell and profitable. We’ll organize this again this year.
B) Bottle Drive – If you’re like me, you, your friends and family have a ton of empties around. If so trade them in for your fundraising money.
C) Just pay it. We’ll come up with a price, very soon and you can just pay the amount. Hopefully it will be between $100 - $200. Hopefully.

More Information to come… check website.

3) Player Expectations – This is easy.

1) Listen to the Coaches.
2) Have FUN!

4) Parent Expectations – Hopefully this is too.

1) Communication – If I don’t know you have a problem or concern, I can’t help with it. So, just talk to me about anything.
2) Attendance – We don’t have a large team. If you can’t make it, I’d like to know so I can arrange to have spares from Tyke.
3) 10 Min Rule – I’d like the kids dressed and ready to play 10 minutes before each game and with no Parents in the Room, just the Coaching staff and Trainers. So we can talk to the kids about Skills and Positioning.
4) Have FUN!

5) Coaches Expectations – What you, as Parents, should expect from me.

1) Attendance – I’ll be here at least 90% of the time and if I have to miss I will make sure that one of my Assistance will be available.
2) Communication – If I have any issues with your kids, I’ll let you know what them problem is.
3) Have FUN!
