Dorchester and season recap
Dec 4th the Bantam AE squad took on the Dorchester team.  Dorchester posed a difficult task for the young and developing Oilers team.

However, the Oilers played a spirited brand of hockey as usual.  This game saw many good battles, some excellent positional play in 3 of 4 aspects (forecheck, d-zone, and penalty kill) of the game.  Power play still needs a lot of work.

The coaching staff was impressed with the level of effort the entire team showed on this night.  The Bantam AE team has been plagued with injuries and sickness.  Brayden Hackett was the first Oiler of the season to be injured with a broken wrist.  Paul Ferguson has also injured his spleen.  Alex Mayhead broke his arm in the Tillsonburg tournament.

Although this team has yet to win this season they play on and improve each week.  It will be very exciting over the next month to get our injured players back and be back at full strength.

The Bantam AE team has upcoming tournaments @ Forest over the Christmas holidays and in Aylmer over spring break.  There is still a lot of hockey to be played.  Keep working lads we are getting a lot better.  Head Coach Michael Bell
