Bantam Rep - Southpoint Champions!
After a slow start on friday dropping a close game to Southpoint and then falling behind 2-0 to Cincinatti on Saturday something happened. The Oilers clawed their way back and downed the AA Cincinatti squad 4-3. Later that day a tired team took out Erie Northshores 1-0 to sneak into a three way tie for first and a trip to the semi final. Taking on the West London Hawks they would again be looking at a 2-0 and then a 3-1 shortfall heading into the third but along came the Oilers storming back to tie the game in regulation then securing the final birth in OT winning 4-3. The final would not be so close as the Oilers dominated a Wallaceburg team that was out of it from the start cruising to a 7-1 Championship win. Way to go Oilers!
