(Total Package Hockey) IS OFFERING BODY CHECKING CLINICS FOR PLAYERS WHO
WILL BE TRYING OUT FOR U15 HOCKEY THIS COMING 2025-2026 SEASON
*** TO BE CLEAR THIS CLINIC IS MANDATORY FOR PLAYERS ATTENDING U15 B &
B2 TRYOUTS THIS SPRING WHO FALL INTO ONE or BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING
CATEGORIES:
1. 1st Year U15 players (2012 birth year) who are attending tryouts or are
hoping to AP for the U15B or B2 team.
2. Any U15 player who has never taken a checking clinic before (e.g. player
who played U15 Four County last year but is planning on trying out for a
U15 B or B2 team this spring.
GOALIES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CLINIC***
IF YOU HAVE TAKEN A BODY CHECKING CLINIC IN THE PAST YOU DO NOT HAVE TO
ATTEND. IF THE PREVIOUS CLINIC ATTENDED WAS NOT HOSTED BY PMHA YOU WILL BE
REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF THIS PRIOR TRYOUTS.
Body checking is an integral part of rep hockey starting at U15 (formerly Bantam). This
clinic is mandatory for all skaters wishing to participate in the U15 Rep Level this 2025-26
season. We will also be running another clinic in September of this year for any U13 2nd
year players wishing to AP at the U15 representative level.
Groups for sessions will be on a first come first serve basis.We will be filling the 3:30pm
time slot first and then moving on to the 4:40pm after this.
When registering please do not request a specific time slot, your confirmation email will indicate which time slot your player is in. We are trying to keep numbers in sessions even and limit to 16 - 20 skaters per
session. This is to provide good one on one coaching and feedback for every player. By
doing this they will feel confident with different types of contact after the session is
completed and throughout the season.
The clinics will be put on by TPH – Total Package Hockey out of London, ON.
The clinics are progression based and will be 70 mins in length to ensure more reps and the time to fully
cover the progressions in body checking.
COST: FREE TO ALL PMHA U15 1st YEAR PLAYERS
WHERE: Both Ice Times are at the Greenwood Arena @ 4065 Dufferin Ave. Petrolia, ON.
Date: Saturday March 29, 2025
Ice Times: Session 1 @ 3:30pm -4:40pm & Session 2 @ 4:50pm – 6pm
If you are a U15 parent whose player falls into the criteria outlined and is required to attend
this clinic, please email me directly at [email protected] ASAP. When
sending your reply please include the players name and birthdate. I will then respond with a
confirmation outlining some general info as well as what time slot they will be in.
