Reps 8 Sth Huron 4
Fast and rough, just the way we like it.
South Huron scored first and played excellent defense at the start of this game. They had sporadic periods of play where they would really take it to us. But little by little they became more focused on slashing and facewashing then trying to score. The South Huron goalie had a sense of humour as T.J skated in on him alone. You could hear the goalie saying in his crease "Oh no, Ooh no". He played well despite the score but so did our goalstopper.
Zach started the scoring off, going low glove side as Isaac passed him a beauty. Then it was Connor's turn finishing from another Issac feed. Trent started in our end made their blueline and snapped off a shot that was just the right height, stickside. Then Jack and Dylan took over. On one shift the boys got three quick ones Jack Hackett scored his first with the Reps. Then Dylan got two, the second one on a tape to tape pass from Evan. Patrick Wright picked up helpers on all three goals of that shift.
Then the rough stuff started. We saw a variety of hacks, slashes. Paul after being tackled by one of their bigger players said the South Huron guy "humped" his leg. Nearing the end of the game one of South Hurons better players took umbrage to the way T.J was putting on a stickhandling clinic. He decided to show how he could use his stick and gave T two solid whacks, taking a double minor in the process. After which Evan passed to Zach and he potted his second then with twelve seconds remaing Paul passed off to Isaac and he scored finishing off the night with a goal and two assists. I heard the South Huron goalie saying that was it, and that he was done for the night.
And now I am, G'night
