Reps 3 Mt Brydges 2
The game started out as very fast paced game.
Both teams skated hard with chances at both ends of the ice before Connor got us on the board with a nice quick shot that beat the opposing teams goalie. He was fed a very nice pass from Isaac who in turn received one from Zach. It was a tic tac goal situation.
Later Isaac got off a quick shot from a nice pass from Zach and scored.
Second period Mt Brydges got a goal on a missed play when their player got out of the penalty box and got in behind our "D". They seemed to favour having someone wait on our blueline and have someone feed a long bomb to them. The only time it worked was when the guy got of the penalty box. But they picked up the pace alongside of a few dirty hits. Evan Freer picked up a rebound from a shot from the point from Brandon and scored. Jack Hackett who was called up and played a good game for us started they play off feeding Smitty the puck. I looked at the game sheet and Jack was left off no assist on the play. Mt Brydges got another then we had to go to work inour own end with Matt coming up with some timely saves and our boys fending off shorthanded attempts by Mt Brydges who kept the play in our end for most of our penalty kill. In the end we prevailed, win for Petrolia.
The cheap shots keep coming to our players as we almost lost Isaac twice in this game. Keep your heads up boys!
