Reps 5 South Kent 1
The score says five to one but the game was a lot closer.

The South Kent Lightning showed quite a bit last night all though the score doesn't show it. They were relentless and Noah and his defence were up to the task. Noah with some very good glove saves kept us going. At one time in the first Noah stopped three shots in a row. Dallas Trent and Smitty had to deal with some pretty chippy forechecking but all stood their ground dispensing some punishing hits of their own. Sammy and Ryan also took the play to South Kent and with good puck movement quickly took over and our Reps played like a team and got the puck out of our end.
We lost Connor due to a vicious hit from behind from a solid young man who was dispersed from the game on the call from the Ref. There could have been another hit from behind as just seconds before Connor got hit a South Kent player hit T.J from behind too. Very, very aggressive team.
Our boys gaining some ground saw Dylan take a slapshot that Evan tipped, the puck hit the cross bar then dropped and bounced up and Evan backhanded in behind the goalie.
Then it was Trent's turn, he Bobby Orr ed the puck from our end Going "Coast to Coast" and deftly slipping the puck passed the Sth Kent goalie.
After this I thought Sam was going to do the same he went around three Sth Kent players then Paul took over and fed a long pass to T.J who took over and scored a nice goal. The second period saw the play going back and forth until what seemed like another impossible shot from Isaac with a half a second left in the third found its way to the back of the net. Isaac had plenty of chances thru the game and he finished with a beauty. In the third South Kent really took it to us but couldn't get one by Noah. Then Sam fed T.J a long pass and T.J turned on the afterburners and outskated two of their defence for his second of the game. Paul had a goal called back after the Refs determined that the net was knocked off. His continued hardwork should pay off in him scoring very soon.
None the less Petrolia Reps continue to get better, playing as a team. Moving the puck well. Good work gentlemen!
