Midget Rep 3 St Thomas 1
Nov 16th with only two lines we travelled to St Thomas.

Ryan MacAlpine was called on as an AP'ed player and didn't let us down. Ten minutes in, from a pass from Brandon Smith he set up Evan Freer on the doorstep of the net. Evan got the puck past the St Thomas goalie and we were up one to nothing. We kept taking it to St Thomas, hitting them and getting some excellent scoring chances. Eleven skaters against a full squad of St Thomas players our boys didn't let our fans down. Solid hits and good puck control and superb goaltending. Paul Ferguson, Ryan MacAlpine and T.J keptr the puck moving well. Evan and Dylan and Josh were on top of the St Thomas midgets with good forechecking and good passes.
T.J and Josh were sprung into the clear in the St Thomas end, T.J being hauled down got off a pass tape to tape to Josh and he made no mistake depositing it in the net.
The last period of play saw Ferg setting up people with nice crisp passing and playmaking. Evan and Ryan Boyd kept the puck in the St Thomas end passing back on forth til Ryan dished it off to Connor McPhail and he set up Dylan who went over the glove hand of the St Thomas goalie.
Matt stood his ground all game but the Referee gave St Thomas a two man advantage as he called a bench minor after one of our boys questioned his call on a penalty late in the third. With seven seconds left St Thomas spoiled the shut out bid.
Earlier in the game a certain defenseman of ours after taking a couple of cheap shots from number fourteen who didn't get called for his stickwork. So our defenseman took matters into his own hands and gave ole' fourteen what I called a " banana split", my wife and Brenda MacAlpine asked what that was? To which I replied what do you think a "banana split is"? No call either way. We Win!
